The Office of Vocational and Adult Education, Division of Academic and Technical Education will conduct a Financial Management Institute (FMI) on October 17, 2008 in Washington, D.C in the Bernard Auditorium of the U. S. Department of Education (i.e. The "LBJ Building").  The training meeting will start at 7:30 AM and end at 4:00 PM.  The purpose of the FMI is to provide a forum for state career and technical education (CTE) financial management personnel to develop a better understanding of the financial processes and requirements of the U.S. Department of Education. Tentative topics on the agenda include indirect costs, time distribution, financial reporting, maintenance of effort/matching, and GAPS drawdowns.
